Solar Scraper, available at solar.gurevicius.lt, is a private application operated by its owner for personal solar energy monitoring. It collects the owner's electricity consumption and solar production information and uses Gmail to complete sign-in to the owner's ESO electricity account. It is intended for its owner's use only and does not offer public registration.
1. Information accessed
When the owner authorizes the Gmail integration, Solar Scraper requests the
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly permission. This permission allows
read access to the authorized mailbox. The application uses it to search for ESO sign-in
confirmation messages and read matching messages, including their sender, subject,
timestamps and message bodies, to extract a one-time verification code. It does not use
Gmail to send, modify or delete messages.
The application also processes OAuth access and refresh tokens, the configured Gmail address, the timestamp of the last processed confirmation email, and the owner's electricity consumption and solar production records.
2. How information is used
Gmail information is used to obtain and submit the owner's ESO sign-in verification code so that the application can retrieve and update energy records. OAuth tokens maintain the authorized Gmail connection, and the last processed email timestamp helps avoid reusing an old code. Energy records are used for the owner's personal monitoring and reports.
Google user data is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling, sale, or the development, improvement or training of generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
3. Storage and retention
OAuth tokens and configuration are stored on the application's server outside its public web directory. The latest processed email timestamp is stored to support subsequent runs. Matching email bodies are processed in memory; the application does not create a mailbox archive. Operational output may include extracted verification codes and error details, which may be retained in server or task logs.
Tokens and processing state remain until the owner replaces or deletes them. Energy records remain until the owner deletes them. Retained logs and any server backups are managed by the owner and may retain data until they are deleted, rotated or replaced. There is no automatic deletion period enforced by the application.
4. Sharing and disclosure
The application communicates with Google to access the authorized Gmail account and submits the extracted verification code to ESO to sign in on the owner's behalf. Data is processed on the server and browser automation infrastructure used to operate the application. Infrastructure providers may process data as needed to provide those services.
Google user data is not sold or shared with advertisers or data brokers. Any other disclosure is limited to what is necessary to operate the described features, address security issues, comply with applicable law, or follow the owner's explicit instructions.
5. Data protection
Google authorization and Gmail API requests use HTTPS. OAuth lets the owner grant access without providing a Google password to Solar Scraper. Access to the application dashboard requires authentication, and token files are kept outside the public web directory. The owner controls access to the server, application data and operational logs.
6. Revoking access and deleting data
The owner can revoke the application's Google access at any time through Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorized Gmail access but does not automatically delete data already stored by the application. The owner can stop the automation and remove its stored tokens, configuration, processing state, energy records, retained logs and backups from the systems they control. Removing local data does not delete messages from Gmail.
7. Cookies and technical logs
The application uses cookies needed for sign-in, sessions and request security. Its server may record technical request information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps and errors for operation and troubleshooting. This privacy policy page does not load analytics, advertising scripts or third-party assets.
8. Google API Limited Use
Solar Scraper's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
9. Changes and contact
Updates to this policy will be published on this page with a revised date. If the application introduces a new use of Google user data, the policy will be updated and any required consent obtained before that use begins.
For privacy questions or data deletion requests, contact the application owner using the user support email address displayed on the Google OAuth consent screen for Solar Scraper.
